Treatment of Chronic Pain, Disease and Poor Health

Every cell in our body has an energy centre called the mitochondria. They produce the ATP (cellular fuel) that our cells need to function. As our cells age, get sick, stressed or injured our cells start to build-up nitric oxide within the mitochondria. When there is too much mitochondrial nitric oxide, it prevents oxygen from forming ATP and this leads to a condition we call oxidative stress. This leads to poor cell function causing slow healing, inflammation and even cell death. Oxidative stress or inflammation is accepted as the underlying trigger for most diseases and degenerative conditions. 

Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMt), previously known as Low Level Laser Therapy, is a light treatment that helps to displace the nitric oxide and allows improved production of ATP, energy for the cell, which reduces oxidative stress. Effectively this means that our cells are able to better regenerate, produce growth factors and cytokines, and improve communication with other cells. 

The released nitric oxide improves bloodflow to the area which increases oxygen availability and improves the removal of toxins and metabolic waste products.

This will improve health, reduce pain, swelling and inflammation and repair injuries. We will feel better, move better and be more energetic.
